Words fascinate me! It is such a thrill to find little known or seldom used words that mean the same as the ones most commonly used; and it’s even more exciting using the new words to create a work of art.

When writing poetry you want it to be original. Learning new words and becoming adept at using them generates a memorable poem; one that will stand the test of time. Make extensive use of the dictionary, thesaurus, and rhyming dictionary. All are essential tools in the development of your poem.
